  • Jason

    Owner/Manager/Vocal Instructor/Show Director

Jason's musical journey started very early. He started piano lessons at the age of seven and it wasn't long after that he decided he wanted to learn how to play the guitar. Still not feeling like he had found his true musical calling he decided to give his school chorus a try when he entered High School. Things started moving fast from there. He formed his first band as the lead singer and by the time he graduated High School he went away to college on a vocal performance scholarship. While in college he formed his first touring band called Next Best Thing. They had some success including two albums and a song placed in a very popular Motorcycle DVD that pressed over 500,000 copies. After college NBT broke up and Jason was left searching for a new musical outlet. Little did he know he would soon find it in multiple forms. He co-founded The Run Around. In the seven years The Run Around has been together they have played shows all across this country, sold thousands of albums, have asuccessfulmusic video and shared the stage with such national acts as Tom Petty, Blues Traveler, Alien Ant Farm, Head Automatica, Lucky Boys Confusion, Nine Days, Gavin Degraw and many, many more! In The Midst of all this, Jason was hired on as a vocal instructor at another School of Rock in the area. It wasn't long before he was recognized for his ability to direct and put on an impressive live show and was asked to direct the performance program at the SOR. From there he went on to be the General Manager. He learned that he loved The School of Rock mission and everything it represented and decided he wanted to make School of Rock his life. Plainfield has always been a favorite town of his and just minutes away from where he grew up so he thought it was a great place to set up shop and start the next great chapter of his life. He can't wait to help mold the next generation of Rock n Roll Royalty!

  • Maggie Follis

    General Manager

Maggie Follis is the friendly face of our front desk operations and General Manager. One of her favorite musicians is Janis Joplin. Maggie appreciates Joplin's message of female empowerment. Her powerful voice inspired Maggie and a few of the School of Rock instructors to start a bluesy rock, cover band. Before Maggie joined us, she was heavily involved with roller derby. But after five years of playing semi professional roller derby, Maggie decided to retire from the fast paced sport to focus on raising her children. Her undying passion for music and today's youth is extremely evident in her radiant smile and diligent work behind the desk. Although Maggie has two children of her own, she supports, cares and helps shape all of our students here at School of Rock.

  • Bailey Poczos

    Guitar/Bass/Piano Instructor/Show Director

Bailey is primarily a guitarist, bassist and orchestral string player. She was raised in two polaropposite worlds of music'”the classical world of orchestra and its antithesis, the undisciplined world of punk rock. Growing up in a family of musicians, she picked up guitar at age 8, viola at age 10, and throughout her youth picked up all orchestral string instruments as well as bass guitar. She played in twoof the most renowned youth orchestras in the Midwest, and eventually went on to play with world famous musicians such as violinist Midori Goto and the rock band NYCO. The disciplinary nature of the orchestra setting had initially created a sense of introversion in her musical abilities. She was the only choir girl who did not step up and try out for solos, and was never forward about asking for her shining moments. Punk rock became the musical outlet that changed all of that. Around the age of 14, she became actively involved as a guitarist and bassist in local bands in the Chicagoland area and sought to broaden her range of music, studying blues, rock, gypsy jazz, folk, and general music theory, while learning the basics of piano. Bailey currently is the lead guitarist in the indierock/punk band Verb the Noun, performs in a gypsy folk viola-banjo duet, and is in the process of recording vocals on a solo industrial album.
